After the completion of Topic 6 the learners will be able to:
- explain why clean water is important for people, plants and animals;
- describe ways of purifying water in class or at home;
- design, make and evaluate a simple system to clean dirty water (such as a sand filter) according to specifications and constraints;
- provide a summary of how water is cleaned by municipalities to ensure we have clean water in our homes.
